FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Forrest County could soon be up against a lawsuit in the neighborhood of about $400 million.
County Attorney David Miller confirmed Tuesday the board of supervisors received a letter of intent to sue last week from a Jackson Law firm.
Miller said he couldn't comment any further.
At issue is a piece of property the county purchased from Pine Belt Oil to store fuel.
Residents living around the area have hired a private attorney out of Jackson to represent them.
Details are unclear at this time what the lawsuit claims.
