HATTIESBURG, MS. (WDAM) - Fifteen of the 49 suspects rounded up Sunday morning in Operation Tap Out appeared before Municipal Court Judge Vanessa Jones Monday afternoon.

Operation Tap Out was a multi agency drug round up led by the Hattiesburg Police Department.

Most of the suspects are facing drug-related charges ranging from the sale and conspiracy to sell a controlled substance to possession of a controlled substance. The drugs involved in the charges were marijuana and crack cocaine.

Bonds for the suspects ranged from $3,500 to $35,000 on each count. Several of the suspects were charged with multiple counts.

Many of them also have prior felonies or are out on bond on charges not related to this operation.  Judge Jones revoked bond for those who had other pending charges and told them they would remain behind bars until they go to trial.

Initial appearances for the remaining 34 picked up on Sunday are scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday.
