Lamar County, MS (WDAM)- A Lamar County Justice Court Judge was put in the hot seat Monday morning when publicly reprimanded and fined for Judicial misconduct.

20 year Justice Court Veteran Bill Anderson was suspended for the 30 days without pay after being charged by the Mississippi Supreme Court with 2 counts of Judicial misconduct.

The reprimand was handed down by 15th Circuit Court Judge R.I. Pritchard after a panel with the Mississippi Commission on Judicial Performance said Anderson failed to issue rulings in cases.

The panel also determined Anderson denied a defendant bond on a non capital offense as well as improperly reducing a defendants bond.

A complaint was also filed against Anderson for allowing cameras into his courtroom but was later dropped.
