Amer. Legion feeds vets at state home

COLLINS, MS (WDAM) - A veterans organization from Laurel reached out to say thank you today to some fellow veterans by cooking them a traditional down-home southern lunch. A meal of fried catfish, hush puppies and baked beans was provided to residents of the State Veterans Home in Collins by members of the American Legion Post 210.

Once a year, the veterans from that post make the trip to Collins, to visit with the residents. The lunch also feeds staff members at the home.

This was the 5th year for the catfish lunch at the home.
