Jones County deputies searching for inmate who walked off trash crew

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Jones County authorities are searching for an inmate who walked off a road detail Thursday.

The inmate escaped around 2 p.m. near Hogan & Matthew Roads in Jones County.

The suspect, Keith Ainsworth, 32, who previously lived at 1333 Tower Road in Laurel was being held for charges of burglary in the Jones County Adult Detention Facility.  

Ainsworth is a white male approximately 6 feet 4 inches tall weighing 210 pounds. He has blue eyes and brown hair. He was last seen wearing an orange and white Jones County inmate suit.

The the second inmate to walk away from a work crew in Jones County within a year.
