Club drawdown to benefit Dubard School

HATTIESBURG, MS. (THE UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN MISSISSIPPI) – Time is running out to purchase tickets for the Sertoma Club of Hattiesburg's drawdown to benefit the DuBard School for Language Disorders at The University of Southern Mississippi.

The fundraiser will culminate with the drawdown event scheduled for 6:30-9:30 p.m. on Friday, May 21 at The Bottling Company in downtown Hattiesburg. Food and beverages will be provided. The grand prize is $10,000 in cash and the winner does not have to be present to collect the payout.

In the past 25 years, the Sertoma Club of Hattiesburg has contributed approximately $94,000 to the DuBard School.

The DuBard School for Language Disorders was established in 1962 and is a clinical division of the Southern Miss Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences. The school serves children with severe language/speech disorders and/or hearing impairments and provides guidance and counseling for parents and families of the children. The school is a practicum site for university students majoring in speech-language pathology, audiology, or deaf education. For more information visit
