HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A big primary election day is just around the corner and the Secretary of State's office is stepping in to make sure everything goes smooth at the polls.
June 1 Mississippians will head to their voting precincts to vote to see who will run in November.
Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann said his office is working to encourage Mississippians to vote.
He saID his office will be actively involved throughout the entire process.
We'll be in the precincts again this election," said Hosemann. "We'll be giving a report to the legislature on things that go right and what goes wrong. We'll be actively involved in ensuring that everybody's vote counts."
