Seminary girl to help children's hospitals

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A Covington County child has been chosen to help highlight the important work of children's hospitals around the world. Madison Jaronitzky, 6, of Seminary has been named the Mississippi Champion for the Children's Miracle Network.

That organization raises funds for dozens of children's hospitals.

Madison has battled a rare illness and was treated at the Blair E. Batson Children's Hospital in Jackson. She'll now serve as an ambassador for millions of youngsters treated at Children's Miracle Network hospitals each year.

Tuesday morning at the Highway 98 Walmart Supercenter in Hattiesburg, Madison was presented with a $500 shopping card.
