Cussin' teacher won't get West Jones job back

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - The Jones County teacher fired for cursing will not get his job back.

All five Jones County School Board members Wednesday upheld their decision to terminate West Jones history teacher Reed Walters.

Last week a special judge released his findings in the case, but it wasn't enough to get Walters his job back.

The school board fired Walters for using profanity toward students in February, but Walters asked for a hearing.

Jones County Superintendent Steve Thrash would not comment on this issue.  Walters says he is considering legal action.
