HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Dozens of Hattiesburg residents put on their walking shoes and grabbed their umbrellas this morning to take a walk in the rain to help fight birth defects. An annual "March for Babies" took place in a steady drizzle at the Longleaf Trace walking trail.
The event raises money for the March of Dimes organization. About $50,000 dollars was raised from the event.
It was the last spring walk this year for the coast division of the March of Dimes.
