Pitbull attack victim signs release of dogs

MARION COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A Columbia woman who was severely injured after being attacked by a pit bull has signed a release, which will allow the dogs to return home to their owner.

Tanya Barnes had to have plastic surgery after she was bitten in the face by a family friend's dog.

That friend and his other dog tried to free her from the dog's jaws. Barnes is now out of the hospital recovering. Barnes signed a release of the dogs Tuesday and the dogs will not be euthanized.
