Sumrall win streak ends with OG

SUMRALL, MS (WDAM) - The Sumrall baseball team has ended its 67-game win streak with a 5-1 loss to Oak Grove Saturday night.

The Bobcats were closing in on the national record for the longest consecutive win streak. Homer High School in Michigan will continue to hold the 75-game record.

The Bobcats hold the Mississippi state record for the most consecutive wins.

Sumrall beat Oak Grove nine days ago with a 9-0 shutout on the Warriors home field, and Oak Grove returned the favor Saturday night.

Tyler Odom picked up the win for the Warriors.
