A Laurel man shot while sleeping in bed

 

Laurel, MS - The Laurel Police Department is investigating a shooting into a residence located at 1039 North 2nd Ave. 

At approximately. 1257 A.M. on 04-15-10 Officers of the Laurel Police Department were dispatched to 1039 North 2nd Ave. in reference to a possible shooting.  Upon the arrival of officers, they found a B/M, 36 years of age shot in the upper portion of his body.  The victim was in his bedroom when he was shot through his bedroom window.  The victim was transported to SCRMC where he went through surgery and is in stable condition.

At this time Laurel Police Department is looking for a red Honda Civic that was occupied by two white females and a Black Chevrolet Z71 pickup truck.  These vehicles and persons  are of interest in this investigation.

    The Mississippi All-Stars wrapped up its third practice at Hattiesburg High school ahead of the 31st Mississippi/Alabama All-star game on Saturday at noon. Although Saturday’s contest at Southern Miss’ M.M. Roberts Stadium in Hattiesburg is just an exhibition, the Mississippi players are taking it seriously.
