HATTIESBURG, MS. (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg Area Habitat for Humanity kicked off its Women Build 2010 project, and broke ground on a new home Tuesday.

Starting April 30, the home being constructed for Hub City resident Marcie Taylor will be built largely by female volunteers.

Hattiesburg area ladies will lead the charge in building Taylor's house over a four-weekend period.

Taylor said moving into the Celeste Place Subdivision will be a great opportunity for her family.

"I am pleased that all these women are out here, and willing to give me a hand. Because it just goes to show what other women can do for other women and it's greatly appreciated, it's a blessing," said Taylor.

Officials hope Taylor and her family will move into the home this summer.
