ELLISVILLE, MS (WDAM) - Some Jones County students have teamed up to help those who are hungry and homeless. Today, about two dozen students from South Jones High School donated food and clothing to the Gateway Rescue Mission in Jackson.
The students are part of a Spanish class that recently studied the issues of homelessness and hunger overseas.
The students also presented the mission with a $600 check. That was money raised during 2 fundraisers at McAllister's restaurant.
The students have been collecting the food and clothing for about a month.
