Ameristar Casinos names Vicksburg general manager

LAS VEGAS (AP) - Ameristar Casinos Inc. said Wednesday it has named industry veteran George Stadler as senior vice president and general manager of its casino-hotel property in Vicksburg, Miss.

Stadler previously served as vice president and general manager of Sam's Town Hotel and Gambling Hall in Tunica, Miss.

"George's understanding of the Mississippi gaming market and his success in creating revenue enhancement programs make him ideally qualified to lead our Vicksburg team," Chairman Ray Neilsen said in a statement.

Ameristar runs eight casinos in states including Nevada, Mississippi, Nebraska and Iowa.
