JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - West Jones High School teacher, Reed Walters was allegedly fired for using profanity directed toward a student.
Walters went before the Jones County School Board on Tuesday to plead his case. Board members said they did not fire Walters, but that the decision was made by superintendent Steve Thrash.
The board has not said whether or not Walters will be reinstated.
The next scheduled school board meeting is 5 p.m. Monday, April 5.
