JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Jones County's Emergency Management deputy director is fighting for her life after being struck by a vehicle.
Jones county officials said Marda Tullos of Laurel underwent surgery Monday afternoon. Tullos was allegedly hit by a car in front of McDonalds on Beacon Street.
First responders said she was rushed to South Central Regional Medical Center with several broken bones. Tullos is listed in serious, but stable condition.
