Tupelo attorney ordered to hand over $100,000 to Lamar County

LAMAR COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A Tupelo attorney in an escrow lawsuit has been given two more weeks to deposit $100,000 with the Circuit Court of Lamar County.

Reid Stanford who owns several Mississippi real estate closings offices around the state, including one in Hattiesburg, is accused of failing to comply with an agreed order to deposit funds by Feb. 9.

We are told all of Stanford's Offices are closed with the exception of his Tupelo Law Office.

Four parties said the money missing is directly tied to their accounts.

All parties involved declined to comment on camera.
