Hattiesburg couple selected for Super Bowl tickets

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - One lucky Hattiesburg couple will soon be making their way down to Miami with two secured seats at the Super Bowl.

Self-proclaimed Saints fanatics Tom and Connie Callahan, who run Jerry's Automotive on the Highway 42 bypass in Hattiesburg, have been Saints season ticket holders for 13 years.

Out of about 70,000 season ticket holders, the couple was selected to receive two tickets to the big game through a lottery. They still have to purchase the tickets, however.

"It was unbelievable," said Connie Callahan. "We got the email and thought it was just more information on the lottery, and they emailed us and told us to pack our bags and that we've been selected to go - and I just couldn't believe it. You know, once you're a fan, you're a fan. We've just stuck with them through the good and through the bad and it just has turned out great."

The waiting room at Jerry's Automotive shows just how big of fans the Callahans are with memorabilia dating back decades.
