Dixie woman killed in collision

PURVIS, MS (WDAM) - A Dixie woman was killed in a head on collision Saturday afternoon.

The accident happened around 2:00 p.m. on Highway 589 in Purvis.  Purvis police say a woman riding a motorcycle was killed after she and a driver of an SUV collided. 

Witnesses told investigators that the motorcycle driver lost control of the bike. The driver has not been identified. The SUV driver had minor injuries.  The incident remains under investigation.
