Woman struck, killed along Hwy 49 near seminary

SEMINARY, MS (WDAM) - An Alabama woman who was standing alongside Hwy 49 in Seminary was killed Sunday in a chain reaction collision.

State troopers say a tractor trailer rig crashed into the rear of a Ford F-150 which then hit a BMW that was stopped because of a prior accident.

After hitting the BMW, the truck then veered off the highway, striking 46-year-old Linda Fay Richard Pugh of Mobile.

It is not known if Pugh had gotten out of her car because of the previous accident.

The accident occurred at the Intersection of 589 and Hwy 49 at Seminary.
