CAMP SHELBY, MS (WDAM)-Two local restaurants honored some working heroes on Labor Day.
The Olive Garden and Longhorn Restaurants in Hattiesburg fed several dozen soldiers at Camp Shelby. The soldiers were treated to salad, lasagna, bread sticks, and tiramisu.
Olive Garden called the day "hospitaliano". An Oliver Garden mananger said the program is about giving soldiers a spirit of Italian generosity and that's what the Olive Garden is all about.
And many of the soldiers say they were grateful for the hot meal.
Olive Garden Restaurants around the country have been doing this for eight years.
