HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - USM is just a few days from the season opener, but the football atmosphere has built all around campus.

"The atmosphere is going to be very exciting and everybody is going to have fun and exciting time to come out," said USM junior William Barnes.

USM parking officials are expecting a large crowd on the campus Saturday.

"We are expecting a huge crowd this weekend being it our first home game this weekend, said Lucy Bowens, Interim parking management director. "We are expecting a lot of people to come out and tailgate and just enjoy the game."

Bowens said some tailgaters have gotten confused about parking because of the construction on campus.

"We just moved the RVs from one location to another from Loyalty Field to the Payne Center and there was some additional parking for M-club located at the eagle gravel lot," said Bowens

Other than that change, Bowens said there have not been any other significant changes in the game day system.
