HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - The U.S. Postal Service has decided to continue processing outgoing mail from the Hattiesburg Post Office on 40th avenue.

Back in March, the U.S. Postal Service proposed a plan to move all outgoing mail operations to Gulfport in a effort to save money.

After careful review, the Postal Service issued a statement saying the proposed plan would not be beneficial and no significant changes will be made at this time.
