Petal Drugs robbed at gunpoint

PETAL, MS (WDAM) - Petal police are looking for two suspects who held up Petal Drugs at gunpoint and then tied up five employees before fleeing with an undetermined amount of prescription drugs.

The robbery happened just after noon when two men, one carrying a silver revolver, walked into the drug store and demanded drugs. They tied up the employees, and then fled in the store's blue Ford Escort delivery car. 

That vehicle was later found abandoned on Old Corinth Road. Police and K-9 units immediately started searching the nearby woods.

The suspects are described as white males, both between 5 feet 10 and 6 feet tall, one weighing 200-220 pounds. The other 150-170 pounds.

The larger suspect with the gun had dark hair, was in his late 30s, wearing eyeglasses a red shirt and blue jeans.

The other suspect was in his late 40s with graying hair and an injured lower lip, wearing blue jean overalls, a plaid shirt, and boots.
