JEFF DAVIS COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A woman accused of murdering an elderly Jefferson Davis County couple made her initial appearance in court Tuesday.

Justice Court Judge Cecil Bayles denied bond to Alicia Funchess. Funchess is charged with two counts of murder and one count of grand larceny.

She and Michael Henry are accused of murdering 74-year-old Edward Redd and his 70-year-old wife Cherilene. The couple was found strangled to death in their home in April.

Funchess will have her preliminary hearing Sept. 24.
