BASSFIELD, MS (WDAM) - Authorities have arrested a suspect believed to be tied to the April deaths of an elderly Jefferson Davis County couple.
Michael Bernard Henry was arrested during Operation Falcon on a warrant of arson in Jackson County. Investigators have been looking for Henry since the double murder of Edward and Cherilene Redd.
They were strangled to death inside their home just outside of Bassfield, and their car was then stolen and found burned and abandoned in Jackson County.
Henry faces charges of arson, murder and grand larceny.
Another suspect, Alicia Funches, was arrested in April and charged with arson.
She was released on a $10,000 bond.
Authorities are now looking for Funches after an arrest warrant was issued for the couple's murder.
