Six arrested for stealing railroad parts

MARION COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Marion County authorities have arrested six people for stealing railroad parts.

They have been charged with grand larceny after investigators said they stole about 4,000 railroad anchors which were being used as replacement parts on the tracks near White Bluff.

Ronnald Bass, Bill Smith, Pamela Toney and Patrick Hill - all from Foxworth, and Albert Morgan of Hattiesburg as well as Tanisha Penton of Bogalusa are accused of attempting to sell the anchors for scrap iron at a local scrap yard

Each anchor is valued at just more than $1.
