Man pleads guilty to assaulting child

FORREST COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A Forrest County man man has pleaded guilty to a charge of sexual battery of a child.

Emile George Ezell made his plea in Forrest County Circuit Court Wednesday after being arrested for sexual battery of a child under the age of 14 in March of 2008.

Ezell was sentenced to 20 years, five of which will be in prison with no early release; the remaining 15 will be suspended depending on good behavior and on the condition he remains outside of a 100 mile radius of the Forrest County Court House.
