MARION COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - Two men who escaped the Marion County Jail in February of 2008 pleaded guilty Thursday.
Five of the eight inmates who escaped that day have had an extra five years tacked to their sentences.
David Johnson and Chad Roberts pleaded guilty in Columbia before Judge Prentiss Harrell. Derrick Raney, Eric Ball, and Brandon Silas had already pleaded guilty.
Three made it to Little Rock, Ark., before being captured. Tony Clark, Micka Lott, and John Davis Smith go on trial July 20 on escape charges.
Smith is already serving a life sentenced for murder and Lott is facing capital murder charges.
