HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A 20-year-old Hattiesburg man is behind bars after leading several law enforcement agencies on a 30-mile-long car chase.
It started around 1 p.m. Wednesday when Hattiesburg police tried to make a traffic stop on Hwy 49.
Antonio Lee allegedly fled, reaching speeds of over 110 mph.
The chase spanned from Hwy 11 to I-59 to Lumberton, and then Hwy 13.
Police, Sheriff's deputies, and highway patrol finally stopped the car near the Carnes community in south Forrest County.
Lee has been charged with one count of felony eluding. Police still don't know why Lee allegedly ran from authorities.
