Man robs Hub convenience store

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - A Hattiesburg convenience store has been robbed at gunpoint. 

The robbery happened Sunday around 3 p.m. at the Shell gas station on the 2300 block of Hardy Street.

Employees said a man walked into the business with a handgun and demanded money from the clerk and ran off.

No one was injured in the incident. 

The man was described as a black male in his 20s. He was wearing long plaid shorts, a white shirt, a red apron, a tan baseball cap and sunglasses.

He also had a partial beard and was wearing black and white gym shoes.

Investigators are still trying to determine if the man fled on foot or in a vehicle.

    The new Miss Hospitality has been crowned in Hattiesburg.  She is Emma Grace McGrew, 18, of Booneville.
