Canton man's bond set at $800,000 in stolen car case

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) - A judge set an $800,000 cash bond today for a former Jones County resident accused of bringing more than a dozen stolen cars and SUVs into the county for re-sale.

Marshall Langston, 48, of Canton is charged with receiving stolen property.

Authorities believe Langston is the primary person responsible for bringing stolen vehicles from Jackson to Jones County and then altering vehicle identification numbers and title applications.

At least 16 vehicles have been recovered, but authorities say there are probably more.

If you know someone who may have possession of one of these vehicles contact Crimestoppers at 601-428-7867.
