A boil water notice has been issued for parts of northeastern Laurel. Residents and businesses located on the following streets are affected until further notice:
State Street
Yale Avenue
Harvard Avenue
Millsaps Drive
College Drive between University Avenue and Audubon Drive
University Avenue between Cherry Lane and State Street
Tower Drive
7th Avenue off Tower Drive
Sunrise Drive
Franklin Avenue
Cherry Lane
Pinehaven Drive
Oxford Drive
The notice has been issued because the city and United Water are installing new water lines on University Avenue and Cherry Lane. Officials say they are monitoring the situation and say the notice should be lifted by Saturday June 19th.
