    The Jones County Sheriff's Department arrested two suspects after a second church in the area was burglarized on Monday morning.  Surveillance footage of the Indian Springs Baptist Church showed a white male and white female break into the church and steal an undetermined amount of cash.     Scooby-Doo, Captain America and other superheroes were at JavaWerks on Saturday to help raise money for the memorial foundation for a fallen Hattiesburg Police Officer. Officers Liquori Tate and Benjamin Deen were shot during a traffic stop on May 9, 2015, on East 4th Street.  Both officers later died at Forrest General Hospital from their injuries.  So far, three people have been sentenced in their murders.

    Today was the last day for eligible debris cleanup assistance from FEMA, according to Hattiesburg Public Works Director Larry Barnes.     Pine Belt Quilters donate close to 200 quilts to children in need

    The Pine Belt Quilters have been working on close to 200 quilts for a year to donate to children in need. Forrest General Hospital, Merit Health Wesley, Canopy Children's Services, Shafer Center for Crisis Intervention, DAFS and the Hattiesburg Fire Department accepted the quilts, as well as 28 pillows and 13 special NICU blankets.

    Bond was set for a the Heidelberg murder suspect on Tuesday. Demarco Aurellis Pruitt, 23, appeared in court and had his bond set at $1 million cash, according to Wayne County Sheriff Jody Ashley.
