Cranebrake
Weekly Winners
Week 1 - Rucker/Carter

Greg loves me unconditionally and holds my heart gently. He supports my dreams and ambitions and encourages me to be the best. He’s my inspiration and joy that fills my heart. Written by Greg: I had given up all hope of finding someone who I could spend the rest of my life with. Then God saw fit for our paths to cross. From the moment I laid eyes on her, I felt she was someone special. LaShunda is my strength, when I’m not strong. She is my voice of reason and my motivation. She is my friend and my confidant. She is also my spiritual partner. And she will forever be the love of my life.

Week 2 - Brittany Hinton

I, Brittany Hinton, and my fiancé, Lance Spiers, should be chosen for the Wedding Giveaway because we have both dedicated our lives to helping people in their time of need and despair. Since Lance was a young boy, he has always dreamed of becoming a United States Marine. His senior year he enlisted and joined some of the bravest people I know of, The Marines. I, however, am a single parent. I am an LPN back in school for my second degree. I am in my fourth semester. Lance proposed to me April 4th, 2009 and he left on April 5th, 2009 to be based in Japan. He is currently in Japan but will return on July 12, 2010 for three weeks. I am very excited and ready to see him! I believe our marriage will be one of the happiest unions of man and woman because we have waited so long to be together.

Week 3 - Sarah Rouse

We would love to be chosen for the Dream Wedding Giveaway because we would be so grateful to share such a wonderful gift with our family and friends. We are a young, energetic, and recently graduated couple with lots of enthusiasm towards starting our new lives together. However, we are beginning our new married lives with a mountain of student loans and are unfortunately unable to share our special day with all the loved ones who have impacted our lives. With this amazing gift, we could incorporate all of our family and friends who have supported us and made this day possible.

Week 4 - Morgan Richards

I am Morgan Richards, 25, secretary at 38th Avenue Baptist Church. My fiancé, Yancey Waltman, 25, native to Hattiesburg, works at Camp Shelby. Yancey works 5 days a week, plus 2 part time jobs doing lawncare, and volunteers at our church doing lawn work as well. He does all this so we can afford the wedding of our dreams. We met at 28th Avenue Baptist Church and immediately hit it off. We are truly best friends, and cannot wait to start our lives together. I hope and pray our wedding day dreams can become a reality by your awesome giveaway. Yancey works so hard and I hope to be able to give him the much needed break he deserves, so we can enjoy our day together.

Week 5 - Kristina Ashley

Although I didn’t grow up in Hattiesburg, in the short time I’ve been here, I have found a lifetime of love. I love my job, caring for so many who surround the area. I love this town, and all the possibilities it holds, and I found someone to love for the rest of my life. That is why I feel I deserve this opportunity. This town has had a huge impact on my life and those around me. It has not only brought a couple together; it has also connected two families. From Illinois to Southeast Mississippi, our families have found common ground here. It’s been a haven to us when my fiancé, Joe, was serving in the military and in other areas of the country. He would drive hundreds of miles to come see me, and this is where we would choose to meet. We always sought comfort in this familiar atmosphere, because this is the place where we fell in love. It has truly become our very own “Hub” city.

Week 6 - Katrina Stewman

To win the wedding of our dreams contest is a once in a million and once in a lifetime opportunity. Every woman dreams of her special day since childhood. To be given this opportunity will not only be a blessing, but a joyous experience that would be cherished for the rest of our lives. My fiancé and I believe we should be chosen because we have sacrificed, planned and postponed our wedding due to financial circumstances. We would be so grateful and humble if we are chosen.

Week 7 - Chloie McDaniel

Best friends since the age of five and high school sweethearts, we have saved ourselves for one another, and are now preparing to start a new season in our lives. We would be honored to look back on our wedding day as a reward for the many sacrifices we will make during our studies to become medical professionals. This wedding will provide a strong foundation to fulfill the desire of our hearts which is to help others more than ourselves.

Week 8 - Leah Stringfellow

I believe that I should be chosen because I am a single parent of two, working and going to school full-time while being engaged to an active member of the National Guard. Although times are very hard, especially with the current budget cuts in education, I manage to get up each morning with a smile on my face hoping that all my dreams will come true. On March 21, 2010, upon leaving Disney World, a magical experience occurred, the man who I have been destined to marry asked for my hand in marriage. To make this dream complete, on September 25 with the assistance of Forrest General’s Spirit of Women and Canebrake Country Club, my fairytale wedding can be complete.
