v MPACT pays tuition at Mississippi public universities and junior colleges and can also pay private or out-of-state colleges based on Mississippi's average tuition rates at that time.
v MPACT is guaranteed by the State of Mississippi.
v Either the purchaser or the beneficiary must be a resident of Mississippi at the time of purchase. The beneficiary must also be 18 or younger.
v MPACT earnings are exempt from Federal and State income tax. It also qualifies for the Federal Gift Tax advantages. In addition, the purchaser is able to claim a tax deduction from Mississippi Income Tax.
