OXFORD, Miss. (AP) - Ku Klux Klansmen say they'll protest tomorrow at the University of Mississippi. Grand titan Shane Tate of Tupelo says members are unhappy because Ole Miss Chancellor Dan Jones told the band to drop a pep song after some fans had been chanting "the South will rise again."
COLUMBUS, Miss. (AP) - Circuit Judge Lee Howard has postponed until February a hearing for four Columbus police officers who lost a month's salary after a May 5th incident at the Vicksburg National Military Park. The hearing had been set for today.
HOLCOMB, Miss. (AP) - An arrest has been made in a double homicide in Grenada County. Sheriff Alton Strider tells the Greenwood Commonwealth that 22-year-old John Wayne McChriston has been charged with capital murder.
BILOXI, Miss. (AP) - Harrah's Entertainment says it may need financial partners if it wants to build the Margaritaville Casino in Biloxi with the size and scope originally intended. Las Vegas-based Harrah's announced the $700 million project in 2007 but it was put on hold in 2008.
