The alleged ringleader of a complex mortgage-flipping scheme in Hattiesburg pleaded not guilty Wednesday.
Accused in a 12-count indictment, Richard Lucas appeared in federal court with his attorneys.
Lucas raised some red flags in court when officers said he would not report to a drug treatment facility after a drug test during his pre-trial evaluation.
Lucas remains free on $25,000 bond. His trial is set for may before U.S. District Judge Keith Starrett.
Lucas would not comment on Wednesday's court proceedings.
