The homes and spirits of hurricane-stricken Gulf Coast residents will soon get some free makeover help thanks to a Hattiesburg-based company.
This weekend over 5,000 gallons of American Pride interior wall paint worth $150,000 will be donated to Gulf Coast homeowners recovering from Hurricane Katrina.
Southern Diversified Products, a company founded through the University of Southern Mississippi, develops the environmentally friendly covering created by USM's School of Polymers and High-Performance Materials.
The free paint, offered in a variety of popular colors, comes as residents work to strip away the layers of hurt caused by Hurricane Katrina.
The paint will be given away Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Biloxi.
