BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Southern University's head track and field coach, Brian Johnson, is leaving. He's accepted a position as the assistant track coach and recruiting coordinator at the University of Georgia. WAFB-TV reports Southern officials said Tuesday that Johnson will be the sprints and jumps coach and oversee recruiting for Georgia.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (AP) - Joe Gibbs Racing has hired Carl Edwards to drive a new fourth Sprint Cup car in 2015. The team also added Daniel Suarez, who will drive a full-time Nationwide Series entry for Gibbs and run a partial schedule in the Truck Series.
