JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (AP) - East Tennessee State has added junior-college forward Darius Forrest to its frontcourt. Forrest, who is 6-foot-6 and 190 pounds, averaged 13 points and six rebounds per game for Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College last season. East Tennessee State announced Thursday that he had signed with the Buccaneers.
SAN ANTONIO (AP) - Tony Parker was back. Maybe the San Antonio Spurs don't need to worry about his health. But they can start fretting over other problems: the Miami Heat tying this series. Parker started Game 4 of the NBA Finals looking spectacular and showing no signs of a mild hamstring strain that put his status in doubt until Thursday morning.
SWEDESBORO, N.J. (AP) - Tony Stewart remembered Jason Leffler as a friend, teammate and doting father to 5-year-old son Charlie Dean a day after the NASCAR driver was killed in a crash at a dirt track. The 37-year-old Leffler, a 2-time winner on the NASCAR Nationwide Series, died Wednesday night after the crash in a heat race in a 410 Sprint Car event at Bridgeport Speedway.
