BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Secretary Robert Barham reopens part of the Mississippi River delta in Plaquemines Parish to recreational fishing.
He says state waters from the northern shore of Pass a Loutre westward to the western shoreline of Southwest Pass were being opened at 6 p.m. Thursday.
The spring inshore shrimp season in these waters ended in early July. These waters will remain closed to shrimping.
