HATTIESBURG, MS. (WDAM) - The Hattiesburg Police Department took time out to recognize several of its behind-the-scenes personnel Tuesday.
As part of National Telecommunicators Week, the department held a luncheon to individually thank each of its 911 dispatchers. The dispatchers each received a certificate and a mug to thank them for their dedication to the job.
Randy Sullivan was also recognized as dispatcher of the year and received a gift certificate to Wal-Mart.
National Telcommunicators Week was established in the early 90's to recognize 911 operators across the country.
