WINNFIELD, La. (AP) - State Judge Jacque Derr has issued an order for Winn Parish Sheriff Albert D. Little to appear in court April 6 to face a possible contempt of court charge for allegedly not following the judge's orders in a DWI case.
The Town Talk attempted to contact Little on Monday, calling his office twice and finally reaching him on his cell phone. But he refused to comment.
In his order, Derr wrote that he sentenced Jonathon Louis Voorhies on Feb. 2, including a requirement that Voorhies spend two days in jail.
Derr said it appears Voorhies was placed in the jail at 3:41 p.m. on Feb. 17 and he was released upon the order of sheriff at 8:05 a.m. on Feb. 18. Derr said booking log was marked 'time served.'
