COLLINS, MS (WDAM) - Some Collins residents may have felt and heard a loud explosion Sunday afternoon.
A catering trailer apparently had a small propane leak and exploded. The trailer was located behind Fox's Pizza on Highway 49.
The trailer had significant damage, but there was only minor damage to nearby businesses.
"The concussion that came from the pre -explosion did send the debris approximately 40 - 60 feet out to the north of the trailer and also the concussion was felt throughout the interior of the building," said Collins Fire Chief John Pope.
No one was injured in the explosion.
