Associated Press - December 30, 2009 6:14 AM ET

IUKA, Miss. (AP) - A Booneville woman has been indicted on a charge of depraved heart murder in the April drowning death of her 4-year-old son.

The Daily Corinthian reports that Brandy Lynn Lee's son, Peyton Sims, was alone inside a pickup truck that rolled into Yellow Creek where he drowned.

Authorities said that Lee and her boyfriend, Bobby Thompson, both of Booneville, were camping in the area.

Both were charged at the time of the death with public drunkenness and released on bond.

Tishomingo County Sheriff Glenn Whitlock said Lee remained in custody Tuesday on a $50,000 bond.

It wasn't immediately clear if Lee has an attorney.
