CARNES, MS (WDAM) - The oldest active volunteer firefighter in Forrest County has been honored for his decades of service to his community. 78-year-old Kurt Brock was awarded a special plaque at the annual Christmas party for the Carnes Volunteer Fire Department Friday night.
Brock began serving with Brooklyn volunteer firefighters in 1974 and has served continuously with departments in Brooklyn and Carnes for 35 years.
