Foreman promotes son's boxing at Louisiana event

CUT OFF, La. (AP) - Former boxing champ George Foreman has paid his first visit to Bayou LaFourche.

The Texas native says he traveled to south Louisiana Saturday to support a son - George 'Monk' Foreman - who is embarking on a professional boxing career.

The younger Foreman and other local and regional boxers fought Saturday night at an event called November to Remember.

Before the fights, George Foreman shook hands, posed for pictures and signed autographs. No one asked him to autograph 1 of his grills, but he said happens often.
