GLEN, Miss. (AP) - An Alcorn County man faces a pair of felony child pornography charges after being arrested by investigators with the Mississippi Attorney General's office.
The Daily Corinthian reports that 30-year-old Jarrod Newman was arrested this week at his home by investigators from the attorney general's Cyber Crime Unit, assisted by officers with the Alcorn County Sheriff's Department.
The investigation was conducted through the Mississippi Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.
Newman was charged with two counts of possession of child pornography and is being held at the Alcorn County Jail. He faces up to 80 years in prison if convicted.
It wasn't immediately clear if Newman has an attorney.
